Franklin Sousley Ceremony

Description:EVERYONE IS WELCOME and encouraged to attend this ceremony to honor an American hero.


Fleming Co. Kentucky native Franklin Sousley helped raise the American flag on Mt. Suribachi at Iwo Jima. He was born and raised up at Hilltop, KY which in in Fleming County. He is buried near Hilltop in the Elizaville Cemetery in Fleming Co.


There will be a ceremony honoring Franklin Sousley and those brave men who served on Iwo Jima. Everyone is welcome to attend the ceremony which will be at the Elizaville Cemetery in Fleming Co., KY at 3:00 pm.

Task Force Omega of KY will be leaving the BP/Days Inn parking lot in Mt. Sterling at 2:00 pm to go to the ceremony.

After the ceremony everyone is welcome to go with us to Mt. Sterling to Melini Cucini's Resturant at 908 Indian Mound Dr, Mt Sterling, KY for a great meal and help celebrate Charley Dattilo and Judy Holt's birthday.
