| Wilmore Veterans Home Christmas Visit|
This will be our Christmas visit to the Thompson-Hood Veterans Home in Wilmore, KY. There are about 258 residents there of which about 17 are women. Everyone is welcome to go with us or meet us there. For many of the residents there we are some of the few visitors they see. Their families are dead or do not come to see them. One resident that we have come to love dearly told us at our Christmas visit last year that he dreamed of us coming to see him.
Task Force Omega of KY will leave the Mt. Sterling, KY Days Inn parking lot at at 12:00 noon to ride/drive there. We will wait on Veterans Drive so we all will arrive at 2:00 pm at the veterans home. EVERYONE is welcome to go with us or meet us there TFO member or not.
We will have a list from the event coordinator Michelle Ewing and TFO will purchase some of the items they need, We will also have Christmas Cards many of which are hand made by school children and church congregations. Everyone will have cards to give to the residents and we ask that you spend at least 5 minutes with the residents when you give them their cards. Deadline for getting the Christmas Cards to us is November 27th.
Please go with us or meet us there. It will do you good and make a smile appear on a veterans' face at the veterans home.

| Homeless Veterans Christmas Visit|
CANCELLED (read below) Sad day for the homeless veterans.
I just wanted to send you a quick email so that you have my contact information. As I told you on the phone, VTTP is closing its doors effective 30 June. I believe that we have most of our veterans placed into housing at this point. They do have some needs as far as household items go. We also run two other homeless veteran programs here in Lexington: SSVF (Supportive Services for Veteran Families, which is a VA-funded grant to help homeless veterans find homes) and HVRP (Homeless Veteran Reintegration Program, which is a Department of Labor funded grant to help homeless veterans find employment). I have attached fact sheets about these two programs. If you need anything else, please let me know.
