George Nagle (9 RAR / b.Tipperary / KIA 1-6-69)

9th Battalion, Vietnam Tour of Duty 1968-69
Died within weeks of the arrival of 9/RAR in Vietnam, during Operation Goodwood 35kms from Nui Dat. Private Nagle suffered fatal wounds when struck by a claymore during enemy contact in Phuoc Tuy on January 6, 1969.

David Doyle (3 Cav / b.Dublin / KIA 7-31-70)

David G. Doyle, 19, born Dublin, Ireland. Enlisted in June 1969, joining B Squadron 3 Cavalry Regiment, David was killed in Phuoc Tuy Province July 31, 1970.

Robert Fleming (1 Aust Reinf Reg / b.Belfast / KIA 11-9-70)

Sgt Robert Fleming, 24, born Northern Ireland. Enlisted November 1963 at 17 years. Served two tours, 1965/66 – 1/RAR; and 1970 - 1 Australian Reinforcement Unit. Bob died 9 November 1970 of a brain Haemorrhage.

Thomas Birnie (2 RAR / b.Belfast / KIA 3-25-71)

Sgt Thomas Birnie, 31 born Belfast, Northern Ireland. Served 2 tours (67/68 and 70/71). 4 Platoon B Co. 2/RAR. Tom Birnie, the ‘soldier poet’, was killed in ‘friendly fire’ returning from patrol, 25 March 1971.
