bumbling Defense Secretary Ashton Carter Should Be Fired Immediately|
Posted on January 23, 2016
Carter should be fired immediately. We have enough career politicians and NO combat experienced officers making bad decisions in a very safe area that get good military men and women killed. Time for a combat experienced Command Sergent Major to do the job right without political interference. It is time for people that know what the hell they are doing that will not ask our military to do something they will not do themselves.

MAURA SULLIVANWe'd heard the persistent rumors about why GEN Ron Lewis was fired as top military advisor to bumbling Defense Secretary Ashton Carter. Our CI's reported the Pentagon was "buzzing" with talk and speculation as to the nature of the general's "misconduct" and the name of his "main squeeze."
Now we can tell you who, those in the know say, was involved with the once-untouchable flag officer. It is drop-dead gorgeous former DOD spokesperson Maura Sullivan.
The blonde bombshell wasn't very good in her dealings with the Pentagon press corps, we've been told, but with looks like hers, she could write her own ticket anywhere, including Hollywood.
HELL HATH NO FURY
LIKE THAT OF A WOMAN SCORNED
GEN RON LEWISSullivan has a resumé second to none. She was a former Marine Corps captain who served in Iraq with a combat logistics battalion. The former spokesperson for the Veterans Administration boasts sheepskins from Northwestern and Harvard Business School. She was a personal pick of Carter for her new job, which lasted only from July to November 2015.
That was our first big clue when our sources told us of her hasty departure within days of the sudden and unexplained firing of Ron Lewis, we zeroed in on a possible connection.
According to a deep-cover source, Carter's hand was forced when another female, this one an Army enlisted woman, allegedly "jealous" of all the attention Lewis was paying to Sullivan, threatened to "go to the media" unless the general was fired.
ARROGANT CARTER OUTSMARTS HIMSELF
Disregarding good advice from the Pentagon PAO, Carter decided to "stonewall" the media.
He almost got away with it. This was one of the toughest investigations we've ever done in the 16 years MCC has been online. Each time we thought we had it nailed, our CI's hit a dead end.
The embattled defense secretary should have got out in front of the story from the beginning, but instead, he arrogantly tried to put a lid on things, and now, that has blown up in his face.
Morale in the U.S. military is at an all-time low, partly due to the widespread belief that equal justice is nonexistent when it comes to the top ranks. Whenever a flag officer gets in trouble, the taxpayers and the troops deserve to know the truth.
It's time for Ashton Carter to go.
Some people might describe the multi-degreed, former Harvard professor, as an "educated fool."
There's no question he is brainy and a policy wonk. He is also a loyal Democrat and will do Obama's bidding, no matter what. But Carter has been a bad fit for the defense secretary's job from day one.
A double-major of physics and medieval history from Yale doesn't come close to having served in uniform or graduating from the Air Force Academy, West Point, or the U.S. Naval Academy at Annapolis.
His poor judgment is what got him into the Ron Lewis mess. Carter nurtured and promoted his mentor way beyond his abilities. As for Sullivan, she was well known at the Pentagon as being a particular favorite of the defense chief.
There's only one year left before a new president assumes office, and our money is on a certain Republican from New York City sitting in the oval office. So Carter will be history before long. But we feel he should get out now.
Do the right thing, Mr. Secretary. Resign.
