The Case of Navy Commander Michael Speicher has Slowed Down
Posted on July 17, 2001

Scott Speicher

My Senator Jim Bunning is on the Senate Armed Services Committee. He will receive a call tomorrow. Call your senator or one of the others on the committee tomorrow. What would you do if this was a loved one that you had missing that very well could be alive????

The Case of Navy Commander Michael Speicher has slowed down due to lack of public Pressure. It was the U.S. Senate and Congress that brought about the recent activities that revealed the Lt. Cmdr. Speicher may very well have supported his shoot down incident in the Gulf War. As in the Vietnam War unrecovered military POW personnel at the end of a war are liabilities to this country. Without public pressure on government, government will ignore the issue to avoid political conflict and cover up its past errors.

What has the military, State Department, the President, and your own Senators done these past three month to find out the truth on Michael Speicher's fate? He survived his shoot down, he may have been spotted being taken into Bagdad, and may still be alive.

He will not remain that way if the government handles his case as they have after other wars, by hiding the truth. Do you want the U.S. government to negotiate with Iraq for oil and weapons and avoid Speicher's and possibly other abandoned POWs. They will unless they hear from you and others.

The numbers to call the senators on the armed Services Committee are: 202/224-2131, or 202/225-3121
